test

Placement tests for Spanish, French, German, Russian and Japanese will be available and online as of 9 a.m. of Monday, February 8th and available until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17 (the duration of add/drop period).

You can access the tests here: http://languages.oberlin.edu/placement. Use your obiemail username and password to begin. And yes, you can take several tests, but you may only take each test ONCE. Plan on an hour to complete the test.

You make take the test anywhere there is a networked computer. Oberlin Honor Code rules apply.

Approximately 24 hours after completing the test, you will receive an email from the Language Department Chair with a suggested placement level. Please note: placement in a class ≠ a seat in the class.

Please email us if you have any questions at languages (at) oberlin (dot) edu.
